Career

I've been a professional copywriter for 20 years, first as a freelancer and then as an agency owner. Today I own and help my son operate a dental SEO company, Identiwrite Creative. We have 4-9 contractors working for us at any given time, and we are blessed. God has given me the perfect job, having known my gifts and limitations before I did.

Family

God blessed me BEYOND COMPARE with a fabulous, supportive, encouraging family, having known some of my great-great grandparents. I'm married to my highschool sweetheart, Chris. We have two biological children and one adopted (I mentioned this because we adopted an adult who aged out of foster care--a great and unpublicised opportunity for any family. Our children are Alysen, 29, who's earning her masters in counseling, Riese, 28, who runs Identiwrite for me, and Madison, 27, our youngest who is in college and working hard, to our pride and pleasure. All three are married and work full time. Our six grandchildren include adorable littles in shades of black, white, and brown, ages 7 to 2. I am a proud, 50-year-old grandma called Nauna. Chris is Groot. It's awesome!

Faith

I was raised in a Christian household, by young Oklahoma hippies who have prioritized love and nurturing throughout my life, even today. Daddy's red King James bible will forever hold a place in my heart. They both love music and nature. I have seen God's plan woven through my past, and so I have full faith that he holds my future.

I adore working with young women and moms, so I've volunteered as a crisis pregnancy counselor and created programs for young adult ladies who age out of foster care. I've led bible studies, book clubs, writers' groups, all for the glory of Jesus. Recently, I began working in the kitchen at my church, and I gladly anticipate greeting people with donuts and coffee.

Chris and I are members and volunteers at Center Point Church in North Richland Hills, TX.
